Join the CCBA’s Corporate Counsel Section on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 for a CLE presentation entitled “How Best to Form an Effective Partnership with Outside Counsel”. Attorney Ron Chapman Jr. of Ogletree Deakins will offer specific guidance on how best to form an effective partnership with outside counsel. When should outside counsel be consulted, and when should the work be performed in-house? What are some of the pitfalls with using outside counsel, and how can they be avoided? How does your company’s culture affect these issues and how your outside counsel represents your company to third parties? Whether in-house or outside counsel, what are your ethical obligations when your client provides faulty or incomplete information? The speaker has been “in the trenches” on all of these issues and will offer important perspectives and tips on navigating them.
