TITLE: “Are the States Out to Get Ya? Nexus and Escheatment”
DESCRIPTION: This presentation will review issues relating to two important but often overlooked dangers for companies: (a) activities creating a nexus with a jurisdiction sufficient to expose the company to liability for sales & use taxes, income taxes, franchise taxes, or other business taxes; and (b) failure to comply with local unclaimed property laws, leading to costly fines and penalties.
