DESCRIPTION:\nFor additional questions, please contact Jack Fan, Chair, jack@fanlawoffice.com\n \n \n \nESTATE PLANNING/PROBATE SECTION VIRTUAL MEETING\n \nNOVEMBER 12, NOON\n \nSPEAKERS: Lori Leu and Lauren Olson\n \nTOPIC: The Myths of MERP\n \nThis presentation will dispel the most common myths about the Texas Medicaid Estate Recovery Program, otherwise known as MERP, and will provide tips and tricks for dealing with a potential or existing MERP claim. Lori Leu is a Certified Elder Law Attorney with Leu & Peirce, PLLC, based in Plano, who is a proud graduate of Kansas State University, as well as Harvard Law School.  After practicing in the areas of commercial litigation and telecommunications for more than 20 years, and attending seminary at SMU’s Perkins School of Theology, Lori transitioned to a practice focused exclusively on elder law. Lauren Olson is an attorney with Leu & Peirce, who graduated from Saint Louis University and SMU Dedman School of Law.  Lauren began practicing elder law with Lori Leu and Erin Peirce upon her graduation from law school in 2013 and has never looked back.
