Because people keep messing up, it should not be that difficult to follow the rules. Ethical decision-making is evaluating and choosing among alternatives in a manner consistent with ethical principles. Ethical principles are the fundamental ground rules of decision-making, not just factors to consider. We will discuss this concept and address a model to avoid unjust harm to yourself or others daily.\n \nDan Powers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County in Plano and McKinney. He oversees all professional services offered to victims of child abuse and family violence and their non-offending family members. He has frequently testified as an expert witness in state and federal courts. He has also testified on several occasions before Texas legislative committees.
