DESCRIPTION:\nGENERAL MEETING \n \nOCTOBER 18, NOON\n \nCENTER FOR AMERICAN & INTERNATIONAL LAW\n \n(5201 Democracy Drive, Plano)\n \nTOPIC:  Scourge of Bullying in the Law\n \nSPEAKERS: \n \n\n \nRoyal Furgeson (retired U.S. District Judge) has served the justice system for over 50 years as a lawyer, federal judge and law school dean.  After 19 years on the federal bench, he retired and became the founding Dean of the UNT Dallas College of Law, successfully navigating the ABA accreditation process to secure provisional accreditation for the law school.\n \n\n \nAmy Stewart has expertise in resolving contract disputes, business torts, investigations, product liability, ERISA, employment, and labor matters. In addition, Amy is a certified Title IX Investigator by the Association of Title IX Administrators and a certified Arbitrator with the AAA, presiding over commercial, construction, and employment matters. Amy is also certified as a FINRA arbitrator and was inducted into the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution Panel of Distinguished Neutrals.\n \n\n \nMike Bassett, JD, is the founder of The Bassett Firm, where he practices in the areas of transportation litigation, products liability, personal injury, premises liability, professional liability and employment litigation. \n \n\n \nScott Stolley focuses his practice on the representation of appellants and appellees in state and federal appellate courts, including evaluation of appeals, drafting briefs and arguing to appellate courts.
