This presentation looks at the good, the bad and the ugly relating to TODD’s and LBD’s (but not trusts or survivorship agreements). Obviously, the “good”, “bad” and “ugly” characterizations are really a matter of perspective. What may be “good” to one party may be “bad” or even “ugly” to some other party to the transaction. I have attempted to make these characterizations from the perspective of the transferor and the designated beneficiaries.
