Topic: Charitable Planning for Regular Folks
This dynamic presentation will cover the basics of Charitable Estate Planning, including an overview of charitable planning tools such as charitable trusts and their tax consequences. Attorneys Mark Sutherland of Mark Sutherland, PC, and Tresi Weeks of the Weeks Law Firm, PLLC, will also examine how charitable planning can benefit clients with non-taxable estates, and how to have conversations that result in a plan that meets your client’s desire to make a difference with their estate. Tresi, a Charted Advisor in Philanthropy, will also give a brief introduction to the CAP program. Every estate planning attorney, regardless of the size of their clients’ estates, must be familiar with these charitable planning tools.
