TOPIC: CJC & the Future of Parental Rights in Texas
Holly Draper, Brad LaMorgese (Orsinger, Nelson, Downing & Anderson), and Brandi Crozier represented the father in the landmark parental rights case In re C.J.C., No. 19-0694. On June 26, 2020, the Texas Supreme Court ruled unanimously in favor of the father and issued an opinion that will have a significant impact on the practice of family law moving forward. Holly Draper will share the history of the case, the arguments made, and what the Court's ruling means for parental rights moving forward.
