Topic: Facilitating Multi-Party Business Negotiations
This presentation will discuss guidelines for efficient multi-party negotiations aimed at establishing a cooperative venture or enterprise involving several companies. The speaker will address why it is worth spending more time in early phases of the negotiation, methods for dealing with disagreements caused by lack of information, different business interests, or differences in cultural background. He will also discuss how to avoid common pitfalls such as waiting until the parties have reached consensus, faking consensus with ambiguous language, and the disadvantages of doing page-by-page reviews of the text of a multi-party agreement.
