CORPORATE COUNSEL SECTION VIRTUAL MEETING

DECEMBER 14, NOON

Topic: What Every Attorney Should Know About Immigration Law

Immigration is governed by a complex mix of laws, statutes, regulations, federal and administrative court guidance, and policies from multiple administrative agencies.  Because of its complexity, the impact on individuals and businesses, in some cases, can be detrimental to their legal affairs in the United States. Therefore, today more than ever, attorneys should have a minimum understanding of immigration laws and how they may affect their individual and/or corporate clients. This presentation is intended to provide legal practitioners with tips on issues they may encounter when representing clients (regardless of the area of the law) and help them to spot issues to determine when to involve an immigration attorney.
