TOPIC: Recent Changes to Texas Discovery Rules
SPEAKER: Stew Schmella
The Texas Supreme Court adopted several changes to the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure which took effect on January 1. This presentation will cover several of the changes and analyze their potential impact. Stew Schmella is a partner with Lanza Law Firm, PC, in Houston. Stew’s civil trial practice focuses on personal injury defense. Stew defends clients in auto and commercial trucking claims, liquor liability claims, premises claims, professional liability claims, and first party insurance claims. Stew also represents businesses in commercial litigation. Stew practices in state and federal courts throughout Texas. Stew also mediates disputes.
