TOPIC: Juvenile Adjudications
This Presentation will address issues and processes that arise during a juvenile adjudication. It will cover both Federal and Texas law along with required admonitions, necessary parties and practice tips.
SPEAKER: Judge Don McDermitt
Judge McDermitt currently sits as the Juvenile Referee for the 417th District Court. He presides over daily juvenile detention hearings, reviews written submissions for Deferred Prosecution, makes probable cause findings for detained juveniles and hears agreed pleas. He is a graduate of Texas Tech School of Law and has practiced law for 43 years with an extensive criminal defense practice prior to taking the bench as the Juvenile Referee
