CORPORATE COUNSEL AND REAL ESTATE SECTION VIRTUAL MEETING

Speaker: Cameron Frysinger

Cameron Frysinger’s practice is focused in the areas of taxation, banking, corporate and business, and creditors’ rights issues. His understanding of business formation issues and tax litigation strategies assist him in meeting his clients’ business objectives and anticipating potential challenges.

Topic: Corporate Transparency Act

Legislative Background – Intent, who voted for this (and why?), and a brief summary of context around National Defense Authorization Act; Review and Analysis of Text – Requirements imposed by CTA and applicable definitions (and related ambiguity). Review what practitioners should know; and Application and Future of CTA – Review National Small Business United v. Yellen while also disclosing that the ruling only applies to National Small Business United.
